Diagnostic Files are attached to this post, including the 64-bit specs. Power Director version #.0 (should be the newest version) Here are the specs and info outlined in the forum guide: ![]() I may also add that I have changed nothing about my system from 12 to 14. I would like to also note that I upgraded from Power Director 12, which I also experienced crashes with but not at the level I am having with 14. My video card drivers are also fully up to date as well as Direct X which is version 11. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling PD 14 to no avail or discernable difference. I will note though that most of the footage I am editing is 1080p 60fps, so it is taxing on the system. Usually when this happens I give up and reboot which sometimes helps. There doesn't appear to be a rhyme or reason to it and I will go long stretches with no crashes only to have the program go on a crashing spree where I can't edit at all without being booted. The specfic moments I can remember the program crashing are while editing a transition, splitting a video or audio file, adding effects, while editing key frames, during rendering, while dragging a video or audio file to the timeline, adding a file to the media library, etc. This happens mostly while I am in the editing window, but not always. It is a complete and sudden dump to the desktop with this message: I have been working on a video for the past couple weeks but have been experiencing sporadic and very frequent crashes. I tried uninstalling PD15 and reinstalling, still nothing fixed it.So I recently updated to Power Director 14. Its ironic that this bug only occured after either one of the things happen: first, I installed the latest version of Windows 10, second, I updated my Radeon Driver to the latest build. I tried unchecking Enable hardware decoding, still the problem persist. I tried running PD15 without the iBiblia.exe running in the background, still it gives the same bug. It's just sitting inside a folder though I use it everyday. Radeon Driver is up to date same with the PD15 (build 3929) There are a number of strange things going on and I think it's going to take some time and effort to get this sorted out. If you have a fully paid version, the final update was to build 3929 which you can download from here. ![]() In any case you haven't posted the exact vesion number of PD15 as was described in the RMBP guide. That's very strange unless all the iBiblia.exe crashes occurred between the time you made your screen recording and when you generated the DxDiag test results, or else you ran DxDiag before making the recording. ![]() You may also want to check the integrity of Windows core files by running the two quick tests in this post.Īlso, there are no records of PD crashing. You may want to uninstall it just to be sure. That shouldn't have any impact on video editing, but it's worrisome to see so many ongoing crashes. You may also want to uncheck Enable hardware decoding from Preferences > Hardware Acceleration to see if the problem goes away. There are a number of strange things going on and I think it's going to take some time and effort to get this sorted out.įirst, download and run the Win10 installer for the latest Radeon driver and see if updating the driver makes any difference.
